Simon Cowell Reveals His Worst Nightmare Is Outliving His Son, Eric
Simon Cowell is getting candid about his experiences as a father.
In an emotional new interview, the 57-year-old TV star revealed his “worst nightmare” is losing his toddler son, Eric, 2.
“Knowing you will outlive your own child is everyone’s worst nightmare and I am more aware than ever that it can happen to anyone,” Simon recently told the Mirror.

“Now that I am a father I understand on a much deeper level how devastating it would be to hear the news that your child was unwell,” he added.

Simon and his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, welcomed Eric in February 2014. Lauren — who also has a son, Adam, with ex-husband Andrew Silverman — began dating the former American Idol judge in 2013.
